Imhotep’s Legacy After-School Project

Imhotep's Legacy After-School Project (ILASP) is a university-community, after-school project lead by the Faculty of Science, in conjunction with the Department of Physics & Atmospheric Science,  the Black Student Advising Centre, the African Canadian Services Division - a unit of the Nova Scotia Department of Education, and the Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs.

The project promotes the educational, social, and personal development of young African Nova Scotian learners (Grades 7, 8 & 9) by engaging them in Math and Science enrichment activities with a vision to improve on the representation of African Canadian professionals in the various fields of science.
